Tench (Tinca Tinca)
These hardy fish can be identified by their olive green flanks, small red eyes, and paddle like fins. They have two barbules on the upper lip. These fish are strong fighters and can be a challenge to catch. Tench tend to feed early in the morning, and are almost dormant in winter. Predominantly bottom feeders, they have swims they visit regularly, and can often be located by a steady stream of bubbles.
